Job Description
-
Carry out relining works for the condensing water main pipes between Tsim Sha Tsui North Intake Cell and Jordan Station
-
Replace the butterfly valve and install new pipe fittings and other fittings as necessary
-
Drain off the condensing water system and carry out rehabilitation work, closed circuit television (CCTV) inspection and refilling of condensing water mains
CCTV inspection during rehabilitation work.
Road/Traffic arrangement for accessing the manholes.
Achievements

Period of contract is scheduled for two years, but actual working days are limited to a certain 3 months in both 1st and 2nd winter

A well-planned working schedule, safety plan and risk assessment were fully prepared prior to commencement of work
-
Relining work between B06 and B10 were completed in 5 days during Chinese Lunar Holiday due to contingency reasons

Road closure on Nathan Road was required to access the manholes and significant preparation works such as Temporary Traffic Management Scheme (TTM) and Traffic Impact Analysis (TIA), etc., had to be planned and designed in advance

Plans were done in the first year in preparation for the application of road closure in the second year
-
Liner had to pass through four 45 degree bends
-
Liner thickness was streamed down to 11mm which further enhances the flow capacity as well as maintaining the quality
